Kia has launched the 2024 Sonet in India with prices starting at Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The compact SUV is available in 19 variants with petrol and diesel engine options.
Kia has made subtle changes to the Sonet’s exterior. The facelift version gets a revised front fascia featuring new L-shaped headlamps, while the basic shape of the front grille remains the same. At the rear, the car gets a new set of LED taillights connected by an LED light bar like the Seltos.
While the overall layout of the interior looks similar, it comes equipped with a new digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a new air-conditioning module. It also has features like a voice-controlled window function, ventilated front seats, rear door sunshade, an air purifier, over 50 connected car features and 6 airbags.
The biggest highlight of the 2024 Kia Sonet is Level 1 ADAS. This includes safety features like Forward Collision Warning, Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Following Assist, Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Assist, Driver Attention Warning and Leading Vehicle Departure Alert.
The Sonet facelift is available with the same engine options as before. Customers can choose from a 1.2-litre petrol engine mated with a 5-speed manual, a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine which comes with either a 6-speed iMT or 7-speed DCT and a 1.5-litre diesel engine that is offered with a 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT and 6-speed automatic.
